Hello
Hi! I'm Cooper Williams, a freelance filmmaker, photographer and journalist.
]
I am a recipient of the Walkley Sean Dorney Grant for Pacific Journalism, a New Colombo Plan alumni and graduate of the University of Adelaide.
I am driven by my passion for environmental conservation, credible journalism and empowering diverse community voices.
My Story
I grew up in rural Tasmania where I first developed my interest in media by volunteering with local community radio in Northern Tasmania. This motivated me to pursue a career in the media industry studying a degree in Journalism, Political Science and Media Communications at the University of Adelaide.
Since this time, I have worked internationally as a freelance journalist and photographer. I have produced documentary for the Adelaide Fringe Festival, worked with NGO organisations such as Kornar Winmil Yunti (KWY) and Corals 4 Conservation (C4C) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
